XZ1 compact Freezes or restarts / reboot itself

My XZ1 Compact has been freezing or restarting / reboot itself since a few days, if I use whatsapp or make a call by re-dial, not always but very often. Yesterday during using whatsapp, whatsapp freezes and i tried a restard it took nearly 10 minutes restarting phone.

Today i started a call via re-dialing from call history, my phone restarts from alone.

Does anyone has the same problems ?

I have already returned one phone to Amazon as fortunately purchased through them, Sony would not replace it, just repair, recieved it back still same issue they wanted me to send back in said no way spoke to amazon the sent new one, twice today two crashes, i dont know how they have the cheek to charge such an ammopunt for a really S**t phone.sent it to Sony for repair, they really dont care and are a very poor company these days.

I wouldnt expect any help anytime soon they will never admit this is an issue across the board

Hello again.

After disabling google from my phone, the phone stoped restarting itself for me.  Gladly I can say that this is the 4th day without my phone to restart itself. As what I am using in place of google ; I went with cortana from Microsoft and it's doing the job pretty well I can say.

Same problem here. My phone froze and rebooted wile I was using "Google Now". I did a factory reset and left Google Now deactivated, by the moment it seems doesn't freeze or reboot. Anyway I think it's a shame that Sony sells a product without testing.

Software repair does not fix it, I spent all last night and this mrning trying it and performing the repair using Companion.

The phone has also been away to Carphone Warehouse and came back "Fixed" (I suspect they either repaired the software using companion or it didn't present so did nothing)

Sony - can we have a proper fix or a refund please? It has really soured my view of Xperia phones

Initially thought disabling the Google app fixed it. But after several days without a reboot, it rebooted twice this morning in 10 minutes at work. I'm still thinking it happens when connection to WiFi or some other connection is lost/connected again. I've never had a reboot at home, but at work where WiFi drops quite often it has happened many times.

Same problem with my XZ1 Compact.  Worked great for a couple of weeks then started to reboot constantly. Eventually did a factory reset, worked for day, reset again, another day. 

Handed it back and they are "looking at it".  Like the phone but number one prio is that it is reliable.

I read an article about this reboot issue as well as alarm not going off problems from many android oreo users, not Sony. It's Google's fault and they're still being quiet about it. My reboot issue is solved after I turned off google assistant and its voice detection and downloaded another alarm app. Hope this helps!

It seems it's not only Google. I had replaced Google Now with DuckDuck Go. Same problem.

After removing the app I got no problems
