when is the update comming?

come on man give us the 2.1 now stop testing our limits se ................why are u doing it to ur customers the service centers dont no anything bout it and u dont tell us anything ............................................................what do we have to do its been 7 months since the launch of x 10 but still no 2.1 u gota be ashamed bout it

I took the pain today to sit down with my x10.. went through literally all aspects and features of the phone...Well, it's definitely a monster

I installed the dolphin browser to go around the web...near perfection...!!! (only miss those keys on top: back, reload, and stop...guess I'll have to get used to mobile surfing)..

The online videos load really quickly and neatly..it does not stall at all ..!!

I set up my calendar, got it synchronised with google calendar. Facebook account and personal email also set up...And then i just took a look at the timescape feature..its too good man..everything under a single roof

Anyway, I've seen some comments on the time that it takes to implement an update, in our case the android 2.1. It's definitely correct but I think that SE must have had already pondered over this aspect when releasing the phone..!! If they said that 2.1 will be out in Sept (which should have been communicated after some pretty serious research work by SE)., then it should be out in Sept.

WELL I am surprised to find so many answers to the orignal post i made ( when is the update comming ) but i must say we all are just fighting and arguing amongst each other and have never got an answer from SE why is that ????....does SE care I dont think so all we are doing is trying to find some leaked information on the net and then disscussing it over here >>>>>>>what is the use of a support forum when SE is not answering

........................and to remind all the estemed members who have taken part in this post my question still stands

Android 2.1 will start rolling out at the end of this month.

Yes. It has been announced. But depending on your region and whether your telco is going to add in bloatwares, it may take a few weeks after that.

Does the pre-release of x10 states anywhere that it is compatible with java? Because my x10 can't open any jar files!!!

It is not X10 that's hamepering Java. It is Android 1.6. In fact it won't be until Android 2.2 will Java be supported.
