Sony KDL32W653 no aerial signal picked up

hello

my Sony KDL32W653 is new, and won't pick up any channels when you do a scan using both a cable aerial, and a traditional plug-in freestanding aerial.

is there a setting im missing? or is it faulty?

Hi there

Can you confirm that you can pick up a Freeview signal on another TV using the aerial socket on the wall (not the portable one).  Also check if your aerial cable is of good quality (ie not falling to pieces, fraying etc)

In almost all cases, when a TV does not pick up any channels, it is to do with the aerial cable, or the aerial itself.

I would not use a freestanding portable aerial until you have at least tuned in all channels first.  Those indoor portable aerials are hit and miss at best.
