I have a faulty BRAVIA KDL-46-X3000 which I can see many people have also posted about.
Despite Lee from the Customer Relations Team for Sony Europe Limited making the announcement that it was an official fault as in his post below:

I have contact 0844 8466 555 and spoke to the Sony Europe customer service team in Cairo. They have advised me they know nothing about this announcement or problems with models mentioned in Lee's post.
They told me they could arrange for Sony Repair Centre to contact me but I will have to pay for the repair costs.

Please can someone from Sony Europe Customer relations sort this is out properly.
You have a large amount of faulty models that need to fixed or replaced.
We have spent our hard earned money on your products, please do not ignore our problems like a con artist.
Please provide us with a suitable number or email to get our TV fixed or replaced.
I think the next stop is Trading Standards or Watchdog - this is unacceptable!
