I have seen reports from others on other Sony EU country forums in regards to pin code error for play memories. I have reported this to Sony and hope to provide further information when it arises.

This problem is still under investigation as others are also experiencing issues. However if you change your pin number it may work (its worked for me and a few others).
To do so, log into SEN:
https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/login.action?request_locale=en_GB
Go to Account, then Account Details. There should then be an option to reset you pin number.
