I have my TV directly hooked up to a satellite dish, and get perfect signal, this is my main source for domestic channels via the inbuilt FreeSat tuner.
However, every time the TV is left Idle for any time, of is left in standby mode, the Coax port on the rear IO stop's giving voltage (tested) and cesses to power the satellite LNB. The only way to get signal back is to restart or power cycle the TV, which I am doing several times per day.
Am I missing a setting somewhere to stop this happening? or do I have to wait for a possible fix via firmware update?
Thanks
Hi @mishaun
It certainly doesn't sound right to me. I recommend contacting Sony to see if it is a fault or a solution is available.
Sony Support Consumer Electronics
I assume that you are running the latest firmware or even a Factory Reset may help. Just in case you haven't found it you can perform a soft reset by holding down the remote power button for several seconds.
Thank you @LightFoot
I’ve checked the firmware is up to date, which it is, and have pinged Sony an email with details.
It seems like an odd issue to have, almost like it’s purposefully disabling the power out for eco reasons, but not powering back on after coming out of standby.
Any advice on settings (if that’s what this is) would be appreciated, otherwise I hope Sony support can help.
thanks again
Hey there,
It seems that you've already tried everything based on what you've said.
But you might also check the power options, since this is power related '' Settings - System - Power & Energy'' and check if one of the options ticked, and see if it will affect it's performance.
Hope it helps.
