Sony Soundbar switches Samsung TV on during night

Hello everyone,

I have a new Sony Soundbar HT-S40R connected via Hdmi to my Samsung TV. Everything is ok, but in the middle of the night the TV suddenly turns on and runs at full volume. This is caused 100% from the Sony system via Hdmi, but what can I do:

- if I connect with the optical cable, I can't control the volume with the TV remote.
- if I connect via Bluetooth, the TV loses the connection after switching off and switches to the TV speakers. Then I have to reconnect and need both remotes.

Connecting with Hdmi would be the best, but I don't know how to prevent it from switching on unintentionally.

Hello @Lonie99, have you tried adjusting the Bravia sync settings on your TV? You can actually turn off the 'Control for HDMI function' on your TV. Also, try different HDMI cable and check if that makes any difference.
