Update 6.0.A.3.73 has failed

PC companion software suggested me to upgrade my Xperia S to 6.0.A.3.73 but it has failed with error - Unable to install or start phone software update component. I have attached snapshot with this thread. I am based out of India. My phone's battery is full and I have fairly good internet broadband connection. It has failed in the prepare step itself. It hasn't proceed at all.

Can somebody please tell me if I am doing something wrong here ?

Try this instead

Update Service (SUS)

if you still have issues, turn off your firewall and/or antivirus

Hey dude!

I had the same problem....

Try this download the PC companion again from the site and reinstall the PC companion from the latest file you downloaded from the web! ( Dont install from the exe file that you already downloaded before! re-install from the new exe) and the connect your phone and go through the process.!

It worked for me!

Just when I started liking PC Companion, update didn't work. Update service has patched my mobile correctly.
