My HXD890 DVD Recorder is losing channels again after digital retune

Hi all.

My trusty HXD890 appears to be exhibiting similar problems to the ones that prompted

Sony to issue a firmware update (1.24) a few years ago. AFter an enforced retune (I live in EH32, Scotland),

all channels initiatlly look OK, but then a significant number lose signal altogether.

Extremely frustrating to say the least. The machine still works very well in all other respects.

Any comment?

You're right, there was a firmware update which was to resolve this issue.  I would recommend getting in touch with the support team for further help regarding this issue here.

I applied the firmware update some years ago to resolve the issue.

I am saying that the issue has manifested itself again after the recent enforced retune in my locale.

Are you saying that SONY have issued a very recent firmware update for my old machine? I doubt it,

but hope I'm wrong. AT the moment, some of my favourite channels are unavailable, and I'm not

very impressed with that to be frank.
