HT-XF9000 firmware update issue

Good evening all.

I tried to upgrade the firmware via usb yesterday.

Supposedly the leds show the progress, but only the first two were lit and blinking for about an hour. As per instructions I have unplugged the soundbar and reconnected it. Left it overnight but still only those two leds kept blinking. As soon as I plug it, the left led blinks twice and after a while the second one blinks as well.

I have tried to reset it with the power and volume buttons but it doesn't work.

Is there another way to force a factory reset?

Hi Giannis,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

If you have tried the steps you mentioned to reset then this should work.  Have you tried pressing and holding the power button and the volume on the main unit for more than 5 seconds?

Thank you for your suggestion.

As mentioned I had already tried that.

I took the unit to a Service Center and they reported a fried motherboard.

I would suggest to service it or return it if you ever come accross the same issue.
