BDP-S370 green line across top of picture from DVD-RW

When playing programmes recorded by another player/recorder on DVD-RW, there is a small horizontal green line running across the top of the image. The player has version M03.R.742 firmware. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought perhaps it's something to do with the upscaling. It's not a show-stopper, but it's annoying to have a small line across the top of the picture for the entire programme! The TV to which it's connected is a Sony KDL-32EX403.

Afraid not, Catmambo, as I have no other HDMI cable to test it with. If no-one else has had this problem, I'll have to give your suggestion a try.
