I have problem with a SD card. I put 4giga SD Card into reader, clean, formated, and reader keeps to show me message that I have to go to applications > initialization > and format it. I go there, press format, choose SD card and nothing happens. and any time I switch on my reader I see message that I have to format card.
What to do with this bug ???

Hi “eljohn”
Here’s PRS-T3 manual: http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/4470508411.pdf
Take a look on “Troubleshooting” on Pag.237.
As you see on pag.252-254:
“…microSD cards of up to 32 GB has been tested to work with the Reader; however, not all microSD cards are guaranteed to work…
--You can use a microSD card (less than 2 GB) and microSDHC card (less than 32 GB), but CPRM (Content
Protection for Recordable Media) is not supported.
--microSDXC card is not supported.
--FAT (File Allocation Table) is supported.
--exFAT (Extended File Allocation Table) is not supported…”
Now if there’s no compatibility, hardware or mechanical (contacts) issue, I suggest to “Format” and “Adjust” SD card with this software https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
On “Option”:
Format Type: Full (Erase or Overwrite)
Format Size Adjustment : ON

Sorry, but I thought I'd posted this, but perhaps my "reply" has been lost in the ether !?
I presume you have a 3/650 PRS ?
Can I suggest you see this topic on the Recommended list to the right of this page, which may be helpful ?
"How to get an SD card recognised by Reader"
Hope it helps.
I bought the newest PRS-T3 (Red) . card recognition doesn't seem a problem. Reader sees the card straight away, empty card to be exact, but ask to format it even when it had been formated. but even though, I go to applications > seetings > memory. I choose option Format, I point Card and nothing happens at all, and reader keeps asking to format card.

Hey. That solved problem. I had no idea that FAT32 is still in use and requiered by Sony Reader. Formating card in this file system worked out and now reader sees the card
Would be nice if there was some simple message that "reader doesnt support this file system, please format your card into FAT32" then I would do it straight away.
thanks for help
