Hello,
Looking through the community messages I have seen users saying they have/had problems with their flash not working. I have owned my DSC HX50 since 2015. Its not been used a lot however it has come to my attendtion that when I push the flash button to lift up and then try to use it nothing happens. I have gone through the uses hand book, looked at how to set the selection mode (Not on Auto, but 'P') and it still does not flash.
Can anyone give me further guidance on perhaps where I am going wrong.
Thanks,
Roger
The most simple way to check is by doing a camera reset.
After the reset the camera will be in auto flash mode.
The screen will warn you to pop up the flash.
Hi,
I have reset the camera, but it appears it's still not working, at one point where the flash icon on the screen appears it had a small round light which went from green to red. I have also obviously tried to use the camera in low level light but still does not work.
I am right in thinking the the camera mode must be set to P in the mode dial?
Thanks,
Roger
Hey there,
And I'd say if the flash didn't work after trying these steps then yea, the camera might need to be inspected, so you need to contact Sony support for that.
Hope it helps.
Thanks for your advice I think it’s where I am heading.
Regards
Roger
Cheers buddy, hope you get it sorted soon.
Okay thanks
