Zoom button not working

I have a Sony Camcorder HDR-XR106. Recently the zoom button stopped working. It no longer zooms in or out.

you can try resetting the camera settings by pressing on the Reset button shown on page 60: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4121/41214261M.pdf.
