HI, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE HOW I CAN GET RID OF THE TINNY SOUND FROM THE TV SPEAKERS.  49XD8088.  MANY THANKS

Turns your audio system on, and allows you to control it.

I DONT WANT TO TURN THE SPEAKER ON OR OFF, I WANT TO KNOW WHEN THEY ARE ON HOW TO REDUCE THE TINNY SOUND.  THANKS

Settings > Sound > Headphone speaker link
Switches the TV's speaker on/off when headphones are connected.
