[Master Thread] - Marshmallow Update - Amber/Green Blinking LEDs

I believe this issue deserves a separate thread since it is affecting so many people around Europe. After Sony released the update i put it on a SONY stick and proceed to upgrade, the tv was reporting: 'updating' then it restarted but it did not come back - black screen and led flashing green-orange! Tried all the tricks to get it to work but no luck so far

Lots of people complain abotu this issue on a russian forum: 'Killed sony kdl43w808c, Slovakia, 11/2016. I called Sony support. Told not to turn off the TV set or disconnect it from the Internet, as update should come, correcting this problem'

Everybody have the TV repaired and returned? Everything works fine?
Nobody has changed, on warranty, the TV with new other?

It does indeed appear that everyone has gone quiet in this thread - presuming that everyone concerned has had their TV repaired etc.

My TV was replaced because of the Marshmallow update defect.

Initially I was told I will receive a new TV. In fact I received a refurbished TV, older than mine. The panel looks like in the attached photo(home screen, album). I admit it’s not the best photo, but it’s suggestive enough.

This is a 700 eur tv panel

From customer suport, on entire month they have tried to foolish me:

My case was different than others, was a panel issue and that s why me tv was replaced, etc

I see here that marshmalowupdate is not a panel defect

I spoke to a consumer protection association and they support me to sue them.

I am left with no other option.

For me the show must go on.

i started this topic and after all the trouble here is my conclusion

a few days ago i updated using the new  download and all is working great so far

I just made the update 30min ago. Hopped it will die once more, just to send it to service again, but it survived in the end. 🙂  🙂  🙂 .

When I will grow old, I will tell the tale to my grandsons. About how Sony messed up their brand new customer TV's with an insufficiently tested TV firmware.

My TV is back from service with android 6! Working fine...

Now it is 43w805c and it was 43w755c. There is a 3d option, but i don't now if it is working.

Does anyone now anything about that?
