We came back from a weekend away and when we load any app through the Home screen, there is no sound when connected to my Sony HT-X8500 soundbar. The sound from the soundbar works as before if I use my DVD player or Virgin box and if i revert to TV speaker setting then the sound also works via the Home screen. The sound used to work find before we went away so wondering whether an automatic update has gone through whilst we were away since I note advice per https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/android-tv/brand-new-sony-bravia-tv-no-sound-when-viewing-apps-iplay.... I have tried unplugging the TV for several minutes but that has not fixed the issue. Wondering whether anyone has further advice?

A factory reset solved this issue. Its a pain to set up the TV again though.
