Can't set up my setup box with my Sony 4K android tv?

Hi all, I recently got an Openbox V8S and I want to set it up as my set up box using the IR blaster with my new 4k xd8599 tv, but it's not picking anything up and when I search the brand, the test wont work to turn it off and on again, does anyone know how to get it to work or has done it in the past?

Im not familiar with Openbox, so i can only really suggest checking the IR Blaster settings on the TV:

Also, ensure you have the latest firmware installed too.
