Sony z3 compact xperia back and home button not working

I am using z3 for almost a year and dint have any issues. Since last two updates i am facing two problems.

1. The drop down notification menu does not displays properly when slided over from top to bottom

2. Back and home button works once in a blue moon. Previously they were working great. Now i will have to try for more than 25 times to make that happen or restart the device.

Please let me know if this is a software issue caused by the latest software release or is there a way to bring back the old version of software. Eventually i need a working software and not this piece of ugly software quality.

Please respond when this issue will be resolved.

I using the xperia z3 compact around one year and same problem here with me after upgrading to 5.1.1 lollipop. I am very much disappointed. need help. I have already done all the process but not solve the problem.

I have already told what the problem is. It's your screen panel causing this issue. I was told that there were some issues in panel detection area with the new software. If you mobile is still under 1 year warranty I you the replacement for free. Else you have to pay 300 SGD to fix it. This issue was identified only after the latest update. Anyways just take a backup and rush to Sony service center. You will hear the same from them.

Wow!!! what a solution.. I have got the update message from Sony then updat to lolliopo and now pay 300 SGD....

Okay, this is the last phone I have purchased from sony. Very bad experience. Never hope this type of performance from a high end phone. I have paid 500 USD for purchase this phone...........

Got the same issue, but I couldn't try yet the restore procedure.

I found some kind of a "workaround", if you have the Orientation lock disabled, just turn your phone to the right until the screen its upside down. If the issue is with the screen, then once is the other way around you will manage to use the non working keys/shorcuts.

this should work until Sony releases something as a patch to get things back to what they were.

Good idea gabag30.. I turn my screen to the right side in landscape mode and i notice that i can use the back and home key easily.. But having trouble with bottom side of screen which is back and home button placement..

Btw my problem started about 5days ago.. Was charging phone and the screen just keeps going back, like is something is hitting the back/home button.. I cant do anything since it keep goin bck to homescreen, so i turn off the phone for 30mins and i can use bck my phone. Except the bck and home button are less sensitive now.. I belive is a touchacreen defect or maybe another harsware issue..

Plz note that i change my motherboard at sony service centre last year around november.. Iv used this phone since oct 3rd 2014..

Well as per my observations here with many people and myselves faced same issue, it's clear that this problem arises after 8-10months whether you drop z3 or not.

Only solution is to get it repaired/replaced/fixed by sony center.

Hello every one... I am suffering this problem from last 3 months... I do not get any solution from any blog..
