 can't open my messenger app after lollipop 5.0.2 update

Settings-apps-all,look for facebook messenger.Tap on it,force stop,clear data.

it wasn't  facebook messenger. just the default sms messenger app. but that also worked. thanks

I didn't have fb messenger however I tried above solution in default messenger app but it's still not work.

i can't access to my messenger even if i'm already logged in to my facebook account. if i'm trying to open it always pop up error retry
