hey Folks,
I see a weird issue in my XZ. My friend calls me and he gets a message saying "I am in meeting" after the call gets disconnected from my cellphone.
I was very curious to find out what was going on. I did some simple mock calls and found out that, when I get a call and the cell phone is in my pocket, the screen wakes up and comes in contact with the leg and accidentally it sends quick messages or receives a call or disconnects a call.
This got pretty weird very lately as my friends and family members started complaining that they have been getting such messages from a while. Looks like the proximity sensor is not doing its job when a call arrives.
Is there a way to fix this by Sony ? The double tap to wake is off in my cell phone.
Yes thats your problem sony. I always keep my phone in pocket facing leg so i'll feel safe the screen isn't exposing. Most phone design will also have flat and square edges on front side and rounder edges for backside so facing the screen away from leg will look like you had a brick in your pocket. I had Sony Ericsson W8 and Samsung Galaxy Ace they never had the problem like my current XZ do, which is thinking i was trying to make emergency call with my leg. I was serving customer and i cant pick up the call, and then after it stopped ringing, once my leg contact with the screen it goes crazy with the dialpad tone playing loud allover the place.
Have the same pocket dial problem. Some app wakes up the screen with some mundane notification and eventually it always evolves into dialing the Emergency Contacts.
