Home screen zoomed in after incoming call that showed no caller info

It happened a few times; a call comes in but no caller ID is shown (no numbers, no name, not even Private Number) on the drop down notification.

Afterwards the home screen becomes stretched, and requires reboot. See photo.

That might be a third party app acting up, try to use your device in safe mode to see if the same thing happens.

every app that is downloaded from Google Play IS a third party app, so that really helps.

this happened again yesterday, this time just on its own, not preceded by a call.

Well, ANY 3rd party app may cause issues. That's why @NunoSEN2 suggested that you start troubleshooting by restarting your phone into safe mode, this will disable all installed 3rd party apps. If the problem is resolved then one of your installed apps is causing this issue and you have to figure out which one. Start by uninstalling those apps you installed recently.
