Hi

I have an experia xz. It has been fine, but the last few months will only charge intermittently. I thought it was the charger, so changed that, then thought it was the charging port, so took it to a phone repair shop and changed that. It still persists. It seems like it will only charge if the wire is in a certain position, but then when the screen goes off, even if it hasn't changed position it will stop charging.

It is fully updated. I have tried turning it off and on again! I have tried opening in safe mode and deleting recent apps. there is nothing obstructing the charging port. I am stuck! Please help!

Hi @nicola10, sorry to hear about this.

I can see that you have tried another charger, did you try another cable as well? If you have it does sound like it could be related to the charging port. Was the charging port changed at an authorized service centre? If it was, they should have performed a quality control before sending it back to you.

Have you also tried charging the device when it's powered off? If you haven't tried that, please do and report back!
