when is the update comming?

come on man give us the 2.1 now stop testing our limits se ................why are u doing it to ur customers the service centers dont no anything bout it and u dont tell us anything ............................................................what do we have to do its been 7 months since the launch of x 10 but still no 2.1 u gota be ashamed bout it

SE may release the upgrade during that time-frame. However, unless the carriers are in bed with SE, then it may be further delayed until they incorporate their 'network restrictions'.

Saw an update on SE forum (will re-locate it and post link later) which would sync most all of your data, however could not download it to my phone as advertised.  I will have to contact AT&T for an answer.

Chin-up guys and dolls, the wait for 2.1 is almost over. By the way, the development cycle for updates/upgrades can be 12 - 18 months as stated by SE.  This is caused by the many phones they have to support.:smileylaugh:

The 'Backup and restore' function on the phone should backup most of the important data, shouldn't it?

That link is what is known as SE Sync and can be done from your X10 under Setting.

The Backup and restore seems to do the same thing.  I used Backup and restore, went to the link posted above, and the time of the last update was just a couple of minutes beforehand.

think hes talking about the sync feature for 2.1 if u check the official site of android and go to features for 2.1 and watch the youtube u can see that it syncs better with gmail etc...
