problems with apps

i really need some help!

i will give you some background first; a while ago my voicemail was hijacked with a callback service, i got this sorted out recently and since getting it sorted i've been having problems with my phone....

i can no longer download Apps (at all they all fail) and twidroyd is currently trying to download even though i already had it (it's been installing for three days apparently) and now its disappeared off my app screen but is still trying to install (and now everything else fails still) add to this my screen isn't working as it should.  i just updates the software and it errored and said that i had to stop the install before updating, but i can't stop the install.  it's suck and hanging!

PLEASE HELP!!

well i had this problem twice.. first time my phone does not find update for my apps and i was unable to install new apps. So i resetted my phone to factory setting and all was well. Second time i was able to see updates in market but could not upgrade or install new one .. this time i used pc comparison to repair and it was back to normal.

In both the cases the data in phone memory including aps,contacts,msg etc etc will be deleted. so back them up before doing this

You go to settings> Applications> Manage Applications and find Market application from it. Here clcik on uninstall updates. This may help you. Let us know whether this helped.

have cleared out the cache and it stopped the download but then also deleted twidroyd AND three other apps i had.

i've since updated the software on the phone and i now have NEW apps that i didn't need, and the old apps i installed i can no longer edit settings; i.e. FB and twitter are constantly beeping at me that i have new notifications - the area where i usually go to turn off the notifications is all greyed out and i can't change anything - and of im logged into twidroyd i cant log out of facebook!!

not that it really matters anymore cuz the phone is gone now;

basically, one of the apps got stuck on download and wouldnt stop, it took a trip to the o2 store to sort it out.  i plug my phone into my computer and it screams for it's update, it updates everything, including the now downloaded application.

the update clears my calendar of all events and edits FB and twitter apps so that a) when i sign into one it automatically signs me into the other (and i cant turn this feature off) and b) squalks at me every time someone updates (and i couldnt turn that off either; i found the setting but it was greyed out and wouldnt let me turn off notification and sounds)

i got rid of the twitter app but the facebook app still kept me logged in and everytime i tried to log out it errored and just reloaded the main FB page; meaning i couldnt sign out and everytime anyone updated their status i got the update and it squalked at me.

took it back to the o2 shop today and they said it's a problem with its firmware and they can't fix it, they called their sony tech help and told them all the issues and sony have no idea how to even think about fixing it and don't want to touch it (because if they can't fix it they have to either give me my money back or replace the phone; and they don't want to take the chance of the firmware screwing up again) the one thing they DID say was they are pretty sure it's nothing I did because the in shop diagnostic jsut showed up "unknown firmware error"

final decision was im selling it to envirophone, cuz i really CBA with the trouble and the next phone i get is gonnabe less hassle.
