Connecting Spiro with PC?

Hi everyone.  I cannot connect my Sony Spiro to my PC.  I have the USB cable but when I connect it to the PC and phone nothing happens at all.  I have had a Sony in the past and it connected no problem.  I have the Sony PC Suite on my PC but this cannot find the phone.  WIndows does not recognize that anything has been connected.

Any help please?

That's because the Spiro is not compatible with PC suite, but you should be able to connect in mass storage/file transfer mode.

But when I connect the USB neither the mobile nor the PC recognize a connection has been made so I have not option to connect in mass storage/file transfer mode.  I don't get it.  Are there any drivers that would help?
