How can I turn off "Cell Standby"

Battery used by cell radio?

What do you means? If you dun want to use, you can turn on the flight mode. This mode a little bit use the battery as standby.

Cell standby is 43%

Phone Idle is 35%

Also, when I select "Cell standby" it states that - Battery used by cell radio

I guess my main question or concern is; is Cell Radio required or is it a radio for listening to music, talk shows etc... If the latter how can I turn iit off?

Sounds like some 3rd party app eating juice.

Cell Standby is the phone trying to find service 3g, WiFi etc when they drop off.

It tries over and over to connect until it finds a connection.

This is usually the cause of battery problems in cell phones.becasue people set everything to stay connected

when it doesn't the phone searches for a connection, make sure anything you done need it to connect to is set to off

so you connect manually when you need it, it will improve your battery life and reduce the Cell Standby percentage
