No recognition of my Walkman NWZA845

I had to restore my pc to an earlier date. After the restore my PC will not recognize my walkman. When connect the cable, it says found new hardware (MTP device) and I go through the hardware wizard to install it. Checking the point install software automatically. After a while it says "There was a problem installing this hardware MTP device, an error occured during installation of the device. The required section was not found in the INF."

Can anybody help, please?

Hi - what Operating System and Service Pack are you running?

If it's XP then you might have used system restore to a point before Windows Media Player 11 was installed? In this case uninstall WMP 11 and then reinstall it and try again. Rgds.

Thanks for your answer, but as I did not receive an answer for some time I reinstalled xp professional and that solved the problem.
