Hi, don't know if this is of help to you, but I have only had my laptop for a month & had the same problem. Basically it is a problem with Adobe Flash Player. I contacted my own ISP (BT) who were a damn sight more helpful than Sony Customer Support. The problem seems to be, on my laptop, that Sony installed McAfee on it, without me asking for it. I use Norton & BT found that it was conflicting with McAfee, so stopping any connections. I couldn't even get onto the internet due to this problem. Whatever you do, don't restore the system as it compounds the problem. You need to uninstall all of your security systems & put the one you use back on there again. I was on the phone for 5 hrs to Sony, who were absolutely useless, & then over 4 hrs to BT, who sorted the connection problem out for me. However, I now have a laptop which has stopped working completely & Sony just aren't interested! Give it a go anyway, it may help you.

You sir, are a gentleman. I had the exact same problem, and it was driving me crazy. I couldn't figure out what was wrong! As soon as I removed McAfee, youtube began to work properly again. Thank you so much for your help.
Thanks for the input, I too have now finally solved the problem. When you install Norton it asks ' do you want to remove McAfee' - You must answer yes, and then install Norton. BUT - this doesn't solve the problem as McAfee Parental Controls does not get uninstalled by Norton and continues to cause a conflict. You have to uninstall McAfee Parental Controls as well!!!
Hope this helps anyone else with a similar issue.
Thanks to Norton for their help on this - eventually!! Sony Call Centre didn't have a clue on this and they pre-install McAfee even if you don't want it! They did at least give me the phone number for the Norton call centre. Sony could learn from this incident - i Nearly threw my laptop out of the window - it was so frustrating!

I had the exact same symptom for the last month. I tried loads of solutions including bringing the laptop back to PC World. They seemed to get Itunes downloaded but when I got back home again the same problem kept recurring. The solution seems to be removing the McAffee parental control which was insitu after installing Norton. PC World sold the Norton software as an add on and installed the whole thing as part of their package. You would think they would know !! They did ask me if I wanted to reverse the sale and give the laptop back. I almost did, but I like the machine.
Anyway it seems to be working now.
I installed Norton and soon after I couldn't play any videos or download any files and the internet barely worked. Now that I completely uninstalled McAfee everything seems to be working perfectly. Thank you!
I can confirm that. McAffee parental controls has to be uninstalled too. As soon as you do that everything is fine.
