tr1mp laptop probs with camera

hi i have a tr1mp sony laptop, the problem is i dont seen to have the sony camera working, its not under my computer, and its not saying any cameras installed, i did a restore, but no luck, it has been working before, any suggestions

Might be obvious but check in your control pannel and then click on system then hardware. Check to see if the camera is listed in the hardware section there. If it is check the properties to make sure it is enabled.

Also check the sony software make sure the camera is enabled.

I cant remember if there was a power/lens cover switch for the TR1MP but that might also be a factor. If all else fails the camera could be bust. Contact SONY to see if they have had any problems like this before.

Description:

The camera does not work on my VAIO PCG-TR1MP after performing a system recovery.

Solution:

In order to operate the built-in camera using the Capture button, Network Smart Capture software must be installed on your VAIO PCG-TR1MP. Please note that this application is not installed by default after you perform a system recovery. To install Network Smart Capture software, please insert the VAIO Recovery and Documentation Disc and select the appropriate option in the VAIO Recovery Utility window.
