Stop error: Inaccessible boot device???

Can someone please help.

I have a Sony PCGFX109K notebook and recently bought a Freecom FX-1 external CD-RW drive because I had problems with my internal CD-RW drive. The Freecom CD came with Easy CD creator 6 and I tried to install it on my notebook and was told I had to delete the older version of Easy CD creator before I could install version 6. So I uninstalled that version and tried to re-boot the notebook but I keep getting a blue screen telling me "Stop:0000.....INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.."

Has anyone else had a similar problem to mine or know how to resolve it?

Have I lost all my data on my hard disk?
