Slow Start up

Hi lads, now please be gentle, as I dont understand all this technical jargin!! and you all seem to be A1 at what you do....
I find laptop slow to start, and notice that you all say see what is starting on start up! ok, what I need to know is "How do I know what programs to disable in the list" !! as most of it doesnt make sense to me!! and I am afraid of deleting something that I might need!! Also, while I am here, I cannot download Tune Up Utilities as I have used before, and it wont let me, with my email address!! so is there another Tune up Free program that I could use???

I would give the Services at Startup a wide berth unless you know what you are disabling.

Try the 30-day free trial of SYSTEM MECHANIC 7.5 - I have used the full version for several years and have never had any problems with it. It works with XP and with Vista.

It is a little more aggressive than Tune-Up Utilities but I have not known it to remove too much!!
