I have the above monitor, in the center of the screen a box keeps flashing continuously saying ''BACKLIGHT''. This has been happening now for 3 days and i can't get it to stop. It's driving me mad and making it extremely difficult to use as it's right in the center of screen. Please can anybody help me?:smileycry:

I clicked on the smileys option when writing this and when it popped up it is in exactly the same position and the same size as the flashing box.

Sounds like the backlight is failing, and given the age of the monitor ( 2006 ), it may be uneconomical to repair I'm afraid.
