Noise

I don't know why, but my Vaio (GRT715M) makes a hell of a lot of noise when switched on. It doesn't make any weird noises, but the fan is just way way louder than any other laptops I have come accross. Does anyone know why this could? Maybe the fan is maladjusted or something? Pleease help

It is probably the hard drive and CD drives spinning up at the same time during the start up routine

Or the CPU fan having a burst of energy to cope with the suden heat increase that occurs when the CPU heats up almost instantly !!

But more liekly a combo of everything turning on at once.
As long as its not persistent throught out the time you use your PC it sounds OK/normal.
