My Sony VAIO computer isn’t connecting to the WiFi even though the WiFi is working and when the computer “diagnosed the problem” it sent me a message saying that the wireless capability on the computer is turned off. I tried fixing it but I can’t figure out how to.
Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
It might be best to contact the support team for further help here.
Best wishes,

Which model Vaio do you have?
Models may differ but there are usually two switches that need to be turned on.
The first is a physical sliding switch, usually on the front edge of the Vaio. The second is a software switch in Vaio Smart Network which usually shows in the icons at the bottom-right of the screen.
However, this may depend on which Vaio you have so it is always a good idea to include this in your question.
Button next to the power button. 7201 - Wireless key top Right and then Fn+F2. 8117 - Small slide switch on the Front of Laptop Alienware. F5R - Toggle switch located on the Left side of the notebook.
