Former Docking Station Woes

I posted a while back about my GRX mysteriuosly pausing every couple of minutes.

For instance when playing a CD the music would cease and the mouse would freeze for two or three seconds. Even the internet stopped.

This was ccompanied by USB devices being rediscovered.

I realised after a while that it only ever happened while it was on the docking station.

Turned out to be very simple I always use an oversize mousemat under my laptop but the docking station was on the desk. After I removed the oversized mousemat so that both sit the laptop and the docking station on the desk the problem disappeared.

The thickness of the mat must have prevented a good connection with the docking station even though it was locked on.
