DVD burning coinstant failure...

Hello,

Siting on a Vaio FS-395VP...

I can't seem to burn a DVD..its starts off well...but after approx 70% it gives me an errro message and well..im already on my 7th try afterh aving reduced speeds and everything else.
I downloaded Nero7 aswell to try if it would work beter but the same errors appear after some 60-75% into the burning process. I use 4.7 GB platinum DVD-R...dont know what the hell sis wrong but its pissing me off now!

Anyone having similar probs?
