Accessories for VGN-FE11S

I was wondering whether anymore knows, what accessories I can get with the new Vaio FE11-S as this model is not listed in the accessory section.
Weird.

At the same time, any suggestions on software I should download?

this is my first Sony laptop and I am really excited.

I cant believe how quiet the Vaio is running.

I'm sure the accessories will be added soon, I have had a look on sony style and they have a extra battery or more RAM

As to software you could start with downloading an anti spyware program something like Spybot-S&D or Ad-Aware

So far, I really cant complain about the FE-11S. Although I must admit I am not the most technical expert.

The think that amazes me the most is that you dont hear a sound. Even when the start the notebook.
Usually you would hear the fan starting or sth else, but no nothing here.

The only thing I might regret is that the screen resolution isnt the highest compared to maybe Asus or the top model from Acer. But the Sony Vaio is extremely thin and stylish.

i read a comment somewhere that the keyboard is noisy. Well, I wouldnt say it's noisy. Dont they all make sounds when you press the buttons. The keyboard is very big so if someone has butterfingers than it's perfect.

all in all, I am at the moment a happy bunny.:smileywink:

oh, one think that annoys me. With an iPod or any other music player from Apple, you need to download iTunes,

Thanks for the feedback, the fact that you say you can't hear your FE11s running is interesting to know, several members on here with different Vaio models often mention that the fan sounds loud.:smileyhappy:

I f you have not done this already, it would be wise to created your Recover Media Disc set.

yeah I was just told that as well to make my own recovery CD's.

i must admit that I am quiet disappointed that you do not get any of the Original software CD's with the purchase.
You do not get anything at all, expect some external Media memory thing. sorry.[:">]

well maybe i havent yet been running any intensive programs, but you can actually sleep with the notebook on, thats how quiet it is.

yeah i heard about making your own recovery Cd's

and I have to say publicly how disappointed I am of this. You dont get your own CD's of any software .How crappy is that? maybe this is why Sony priced the FE series so low by saving on the software.

another thing i am disappointed about is the support.
I mean isnt there a support department where one can send in the queries, problems and questions.

I was given a phone number but before they do anything they want your money, something like EUR13.

Come on, Sony you can do better, cant you?

Have a look at Vaio-Link If you are in-warranty as far as i am aware you only pay for the call.
