WHY HAVE I GOT A DIM LINE RUNNING DOWN THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF MY TV?

my tv model is ex723 and ive got a really dim vertical line running down the right side of the tv screen. its barely visible so could live with it but thats not the point it shouldnt be there right. has anybody else got this problem?

    My TV 32w55 has just developed a clear vertical line approx. 3inches from right hand side.

         intend to contact sony tomorrow i belive this could mean the screen will fail.this tv is 2years 11mths

old i have a 3year guarantee. it most certainly shouldnt be there
