Upgrading Remote Control RM-ED047 to RM-ED058?

My family recently started using Netflix on the smart TV, but the 047 remote requires you to go through SEN or HOME to get to the app, so it'd be nice to get one of the newer remotes which has the dedicated button.

• Are the newer remotes compatible with our KDL-40HX753 TV, and will the Netflix button work?
• I'm not sure the 058 has a '3D' button, but we barely have used it anyway.. are there any other buttons that would be missing?

• Guessing there still isn't a remote available with a "previous channel" button also?

Hi there

Even though many Sony remotes can work with different TVs, there is no guarrantee that it will work though.  Considering you are wanting to use a feature thats previously not supported (i.e. Netflix button), the TV must have certain codes built in, I couldnt say it would work or not.

If you do purchase it, care to post back on the results?
