I have just got a Sony 40" TV model no kdl 40 rd 453 I'm not very good at tecnicall stuff I managed to set it up but cannot connect to Internet can someone advise me but needs to be basic instrunions can somebody please help.

Hi there

Unfortunately your TV model (KDL-40RD453) is not a 'Smart TV' - hence cannot connect to the internet. 

However it is mandatory in the UK to provide a ethernet port on all Full HD TVs.  This is for the IPTV/MHEG channels in the 225 range of the EPG (Electronic Programming Guide).  For those channels, you will need to connect an ethernet cable to the TV from your ISPs router.  Then go into the TVs 'Network Setup' options and follow the instructions on screen.
