TV audio through the surround sound.

Recently purchased a Sony TV (46EX503) and a DVD home theatre system (Sony DAVDZ280)

When the system was 1st installed I could listen to TV through the theatre system. Problem is I can now only use theatre system when watching a DVD. I'm 99% certain the cables are connected correctly. Do I need to alter a setting on the TV or theatre system? Help would be appreciated.

Assuming nothing has changed with your Bravia set-up then try switching the DAVDZ280s input to "TV" instead of "DVD"  (more  details can be found on page 28 of instructions guide)
