Sony Bravia KD49xe7005 sound skipping during 4k streaming

I've found that when watching 4K HDR Streams the sound skips, usually only for a split second, but sometimes long enough to lose an entire word or two from a sentance. The only 4k material I've watched has been through theAmazon Prime and Netflix apps and both have the issue. The video plays without interruption or degredation and the connection is good. 

Non-4k Streams don't have this issue. 

I'm connecting to an old Pioneer HTS-GS1 via optical connection. 

I'd appriciate any help because it's very, very distracting (often completely ruining the viewing experience!)

I have indeed updated to the latest firmware.

Hi TheLezt,

I guess you can try to reset the TV to factory settings from Home - Settings - Storage & Reset - Factory settings, and then unplug the sound system from the TV and watch the content via the TV's speakers. If this resolved the issue, then the issue must have been caused by the sound system.
