Smart TV and iplayer freezing-up.

I have a new Sony 40" Smart TV (3D) but have real problems with iplayer freezing up. Sometimes its ok but normally it freezes from the very start and right the way through. I have a wireless router and iplayer is perfect on my Laptop which I use in the same room as the TV but not at the same time.  Help please!

Hi there

First things first. What speed do you get from speedtest.net via your laptop (wired)? Do rule out a wireless issue, for testing purposes, what happens if you plug a network cable into your TV (instead of using wireless)?

Basically, theres not much that can go wrong with iplayer on the TV, so its generally your internet connection/wireless connection.

Hi and thank for this - Ill try! My Laptop is used wireless too but without the freezing. Do you think a HomePlug could help anyway?
