I have read through posts but cannot see any information in relation to replacement TVs and customers
Unfortunately into my 4th year with Sony AF9 65inch TV the panel has faults and Sony will replace with the 2021 A90J 65inch model but this replacement TV will be shipped directly from Sony factory to the Service Centre and is fully certified to new condition!!!
This is a little scary as I am so fussy and would hate to have a TV replacement which is marked or come from a smokers enviroment.
Has anyone had a replacement and had issues or been happy? The service centre D K AUDIO VISUAL SERVICES are awaiting the set to arrive but have stated it will be a certified to new set not brand new.
I don't expect a new set as I should have read the Sony Warranty and then taken out my own cover which would have given cash/credit to replace with a new set. Just really concerned I will get a dumpster and end up having to go and buy a new set or continuously have to contact Sony if I am not happy.

I have just received a replacement set for my A65J which was described the same. It was brand spanking. Fear not 😉😉😉

Usually they replace the fault with the unit and test it in the factory for a period of time to make sure it's working fine! So it should be good to go, however, you may contact Sony once more if there's anything wrong with the set.

The Sony service centre contract engineers are coming on Wednesday so I will update my post once I know what condition the replacement set is in.
Well here we go.............. Brand spanking new A9J 65inch 😎
It's a shame how they treat the old set just shoved in the new tv box. Would have done someone a treat.
The fault would have been picked up by AV nerds and most would have said nothing and lived with the vertical shadowing.
