record on KDL42W653A IN AV1

To start I live in France and have just purchased this TV I am well pleased however I receive French freeview and to get English programmes I go through the Sky Box. My question is, can I record programmes onto my memory stick through AV1.

Hi there

You can only record programs to a HDD (or memory stick), when connecting the storage device to the USB port on your TV.

Indeed. Today I received from Amazon a 64GB USB 3.0 USB memory stick and have plugged that into my slot on the  same model of TV. I then registered it and now have an instant means of recording, only once recording you cannot change channels so best to leave in standby until programme has finished recording. Also with this USB stick in position one can use the 'Pause Live TV' facility.
