HD to record TV via my Bravia

Can I use a WD My Passport 1TB portable drive to plug the usb into my Bravia to record TV and use the Bravia features?

Hi,

once you've formatted the drive to FAT 32 you can, you need to register the drive with the tv obviously it will render it useless on anything else other than the tv once done.

I have done just that, but whe I try to record it says I can't becasue there is no broadcast. I watch TV using a digital box that is linked to the TV. Can someone help me, please?

Hi there

You must use the TV's tuner to record TV broadcasts to the HDD that is connected to the TV.
