Connecting Sony Bravia TV to BT supplied Youview box

I am trying to help my elderly neighbour with connecting a youview box he has been supplied by BT.

I managed to connect the Box to his Sony TV (Bravia Model) - however when he turns his tv on it still defaults to his set and not to the freeview box. How can I get the TV to automatically start with the youview box?

I do not have the model number to hand.

Hi there

Not possible on that way around, as far as im aware.

What you can do, is make sure that "Control for HDMI" is ON (sometimes named CEC) on both the TV and YouView box. But instead of turning the TV on, try turning on the YouView box instead. This should turn TV on automattically. See if that works.
