Bravia XG70 and Humax Box Power
Hello
When I turn on the TV using the remote, I have then turn on the Humax STB, this isn't a problem. However when I turn the TV off, this also turns off the STB, how can I stop this happening ? I feed the audio output of the STB into a separate sound system
TIA

Try disabling BraviaSync on the TV, see if that works.
However, it make make things like ARC stop working, if you have a soundbar or AV connected, so you may not want to do this.
You don’t say which Humax box it is; maybe you can disable CEC on that. If so, that would be your best option, I think. But I know that on Humax YouView boxes, you can’t disable CEC.

Thanks for the reply
Can't see how to turn off Bravia Sync, I need to find the instruction manual.
It's a basic Humax HDR-1100S Freesat box, can't see any settings for CEC anywhere.
Thanks again

Here’s the bit of the Sony manual that relates to Bravia Sync, Sony’s name for CEC:-

Humax publish a list of what various manufacturers call CEC, and it must do CEC to behave as you describe, but there is nothing about it in the manual. So I imagine that like YouView boxes, it uses CEC, but you can’t switch it off, nor alter how it works in any way.

Not sure why feedback on Roy's comment caused him to leave the community BUT it did help me to turn off Bravia Sync which I hadn't been able to find before.
Thanks for both answers
