Bravia Soundbar sound control connection

I have a Bravia KDL-40CX523 tv witha HT-CT60 surround soundbar attached. How do I get the TV sound control to control the sound on the soundbar? It is attached optically to the TV

not sure on yours, try home button (Menu) , then sound, then change speakers from tv to audio system that should do it.
